“You can’t connect the dots looking forward;
you can only connect them looking backwards”
Most of those in my industry, started out by writing press releases by hand, typing them up and circulating them first by telex and later by fax. When I founded Image building in 1987, we had already been using the first Macintosh Plus for a couple of years.
I could tell you of all the tape recorders used to transcribe interviews, or of all the square metres taken up by boxes storing our clients’ press reviews, or of how floppy disks came to be replaced by CDs and, eventually by USBs to save documents. But today, none of this matters as all kinds of data is stored on… “a cloud”.
As early as the mid-90s everyone was already talking about the “web”; and ever since 1998, the year the telcom industry was liberalized, Image Building has lived through and experienced all of the sector’s most important milestones. We have communicated all the strategies, services and products which have revolutionized both the worlds of media and industry, all whilst breaking down boundaries and redefining roles and balances in the market, particularly from a financial point of view.
What 30 years of experience have undoubtedly taught us is that the challenges posed by these new communicative paradigms cannot be overcome by simply using the latest IOs version or a faster chip. Success only comes to those who think outside the box, and who do this with passion. These are the keys which allow us to truly understand our clients, translating their daily innovations into simple and effective messages
